This session will explore the various policies and best practices that are recommended for nonprofits. We will review best practices and discuss the importance of maintaining policies such as Conflicts of Interest, Gift Acceptance, and Investment Policies, as well as the critical issues involved in setting and implementing policies and practices for nonprofit organizations. As policies should be tailored to meet each organization’s specific needs, we will provide recommendations as to when a policy may or may not make sense for a particular type or size of nonprofit.
